The challenge

Ciutat Hotels is a hotel chain with four locations and an apartment/hotel in or around Barcelona (Granollers and Mollet del Vallès), along with a number of restaurants, including La Roca.

Their clientele varies depending on the cultural events happening in Barcelona: conventions and conferences that bring guests travelling for business, as well as vacationers or motorsport professionals and fans that stay at the Ciutat Hotels de Mollet del Vallès.

Ciutat Hotels required a website that meets the needs of its different clientele as well as the expectations for eMascaró.

The project

Over the course of the consulting process eMascaró discovered that such a range of target audiences required that the hotel's different offers be associated with the type of experience the guest wants to have. Website users are redirected to the individual hotels depending on their location or characteristics.

The site thus became an attractive and visual showcase for the common interests that clients share with Ciutat Hotel: business, tourism, motorsports, shopping, weddings and conventions, spa and wellness and cuisine.

Since the project was a genuinely ambitious one eMascaró took things a step futher: the company put all its efforts into the consulting process to draw up a strategic plan that ensured strategic online visibility.

The result was the creation of the Blog del motor (Motorsport blog), designed by Ciutat Hotels exclusively for motorcycle and Formula One fans: by sharing the user's hobbies and interests the hotel chain is linked in terms of SEO and SEM to the motorsport events that come through Barcelona.

Taking into account the increase of users that access the internet from their phones, we developed the Ciutat Hotels mobile web so that those users could have the hotel's site at their fingertips.

Of course, the site is dynamically integrated with major social networks both on the site's homepage and in the "Follow Us" section, and users can see the posts and comments of other users without having to leave the website.

Key concepts

The increase of website visits via mobile devices is now a reality. Users increasingly opt to buy smartphones to chat with friends on social networks, look up activities of interest or choose a hotel for their next trip.

eMascaró continues its drive for innovation, and clients like Ciutat Hotels are testimony to our ability to develop mobile web projects that allow companies to be always and readily available to site users.
