The challenge

EME Hotel is one of Seville's most iconic hotels: innovation that goes beyond simple architecture and design, a stunning terrace and famous clientele have turned the hotel into one of the top urban hotels of 2011, according the CondéNast magazine.

EME's owner clearly understood that a hotel is more than just a set of rooms - it's an unique experience that should be enjoyed by all five senses - and requested an extremely visual website that recreates the sensation of strolling across the hotel grounds, listening to the hotel's background music, tasting the flavors of Berasatigui's cuisine or relaxing at the luxurious spa.

The project

To properly translate the spirit of the hotel to the website eMascaró Tourism made the trip to Seville to get a firsthand feel for all the hotel has to offer.

The result was a website designed in warm earth tones, where photos that transmit the glamour of the hotel take center stage:

  • Photos galleries, with careful attention to design and detail
  • Dropdown special offers tab at the top of the page
  • Customized music player that allows site visitors to listen to the hotel's official chill-out CD.
  • Integrated YouTube channel, where visitors can watch videos about the hotel.

Site visitors can also discover Seville's many charms with the help of the site's Google Maps routes, which can also be checked from mobile phones.

All this is managed for EME by a content management system that has facilitated the implementation of three different langauges since the start of the site, working on international SEO positioning as well as integrating the hotel with top social networks.

Key concepts

Aesthetics and visual impact were instrumental in establishing the brand's online identity.

The site also enhanced the benefits that make EME unique - like the hotel's Sevillan spirit - through the integration of the routes or the music that that accompanies users as they navigate the site.

eMascaró Tourism continues to provide tools that help hotels manage their website without having to depend on an agency, promoting autonomy, flexibility and responsiveness in the rapidly changing tourism industry.
