New Majestic Hotel Website

An updated site with higher sales conversion.

The challenge

Majestic Hotel & Spa is one of Barcelona's most iconic luxury hotels. Having collaborated over five years ago on the hotel's first website, Majestic decided once again to contract eMascaró to create the brand's new online project.

The project

eMascaró performed an audit of Majetic's first website to define the new site's objectives:

  • Adapt the old site to new customer needs.
  • Improve sales conversion with a new booking engine for customers, travel agencies and professionals.
  • Target the hotel's deals according to different user profiles.
  • Increase search engine optimization and boost direct conversion.
  • Increase the visibility of the hotel's apartments, deals and spa.

To start, the new page design was both elegant and classic, with a reduced but always visible booking engine that was custom designed and developed to increase conversion by:

  • Booking in real time.
  • Full Google Analytics tracking and monitoring.
  • Reservations on different dates in a single step.
  • Stock and vacancy display.
  • Filter by categories, prices, deals and special packages.
  • Reserved areas for users and agencies.
  • Sales mananger and reservations for Spa treatments and services for both local and international customers.
  • Customer help, such as adding reservations to Outlook or mobile phones, location check, etc.

In terms of the menu, two links to the things that make the Majestic stand apart - Barcelona and the building's history - were added in addition to the usual items found on a hotel website menu.

Thus, the user can not only see the evolution of this iconic hotel and its famous clientele but can get inspired by the activies and excitement that Barcelona has to offer.

Another area of note are the highlights that give users the opportunity to discover the hotel's latest deals according to the experience the user wants to have, with links to the deals to induce direct purchase.

Key concepts

eMascaró projects focus increasingly more on not simply meeting our client's needs, but on taking that extra step - by providing destination and hotel background information or sycronizing hotel reservations with Outlook, for example - to create a user experience that facilities both browsing and online purchasing.
